North Korea is an interesting country to go traveling. It is such diffrent country. Honesty, Travel in North Korea is restricted.
Visitors, whether on business or as tourists, will almost always be accompanied by their guides and will only be allowed to go where their guide is content for them to go.
However, it is possible to make short walks unaccompanied from some of the major hotels in Pyongyang. So, you are free to take a walk from your hotel, but do not forget to respect their culture and people along the way.
For travel outside Pyongyang, it is the guide's responsibility to obtain the necessary permissions. Police checkpoints, to be found at the entry and exit to all towns, sometimes demand identity documents before allowing travel.
Do not bring Cell Phone and Computer (Anyway you can't use it in North Korea...).
