My experiance has been that all the phones available in China are not the legit real ones
even when you buy through a so called auth. dealer
anyone bought a Galaxy S3 in Shenyang? A real one?
if yes
how are ou sure its a legit real one?
and if it was what was the price?
there are lots of ways to check if they are real or not
but so far every so called real one i have run into was at best a close fake
the international version has a quad core processor and less mem
and the stateside one has a dual core with more mem
there are lots of other ways including if the unlock code really unlocks the phone for unrestricted use anywhere. amoung other ways to check
looking forward to some feedback
thanks
Dwayne

I've bought several months ago a SIII in Sanhao Jie, an international one from Hong Kong. 4 cores and 1 GB for 3,300 RMB. I've registered it by Samsung and since this time I did get several updates from Samsung.
Except that it is a little too big and blue not really my favorite color is, I like it very well.
Robert

Not sure where your buying from but, there are massive amounts of "REAL" ones here in China here in DG there is a computer city where 90% of the dealers are offering 2 different versions on most products not only Samsungs, A domestic version preloaded with a lot of chinese apps and a cross boarder Hong Kong version pre-loaded with English apps. Both versions are fully registered with either Apple of Samsung etc. I bought my wife a S2 Galaxy a few monthes ago (pre S3) and its completly legit. Like Robert she has done many updates and the firmware was upgraded no problem at all. I have a Galaxy Tab with the same deal. No problems with Legit-ness..
