Is there anything to do in Dongguan at all?

What part of Dongguan are you in? Most of the expats tend to be in Dongcheng...

I'm actually in Houjie, which is like the suburban area of Dongguan I believe. Yesterday I cycled to Dongguan on my own out of craziness since I came here, I had a brief look at Nancheng and Guancheng, didn't go to Dongcheng at all, however not very impressed by what I see.
Now I have another question, is there any international job opportunities here for a Chinese person? Any idea where to find those jobs? So far I have only seen factory related work available :(

There are some trading companies in Dongguan city, not as many as in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Buying offices are mostly located in big cities.

there is a trainstation in changping , and it takes you right to hunghom, I think it s the best place in guangdong

yup, not so many places in dongguan, if you like to go around you may visit some places in dongguan stated in below website, most of them are parks.

but, hmm... dongguan is not far away from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, or Hongkong.
